Oracle Data Base Administrator (Technical Services)
 

The Oracle Data Base Administrator (DBA) will be
responsible for providing technical assistance to
Target Software clients and its employees.  As an
integral member of the Technical Services Division
your main responsibilities will be fielding internal
and external client inquiries regarding database and
systems administration, software architecture, and
technical projects.  Other responsibilities will
include: client software upgrades, hardware
migrations, and Oracle software installations.  

 

Job Responsibilities:

-Provide technical analysis to internal and external
client base on backup/recovery procedures, Oracle
installations and migrations, software upgrades, and
hardware recommendations. 

-Performing data management tasks such as performance
tuning and space management at the request of our
clients. 

-Package and QA software upgrades, and patches. 

-Work effectively with other team members to identify
and address DBA related problems. 

-Assist with and/or manage small- to medium-scope
technical projects on an as needed basis.
 

Requirements:

-At least one year hands on experience with Oracle
DBA. 

-Familiarity with backup/recovery/failover methods and
best practices. 

-Experience with SQL and/or PL/SQL. 

-Experience with UNIX, LINUX, or Windows operating
systems. 

-Excellent writing, communication, time management and
multi-tasking skills. 

-Ability to be effective working independently with
little supervision as well as in a team environment.
 
-Bachelors Degree required.
