Hi,

 

I'm with a recruiting firm in Andover called JVT Advisors. We are 12 people
large and have been in business for over 8 years.  

 

We have a client downtown Boston which needs a senior Linux administrator.
It's a 25 person startup located near South Station. They make a
communications product which they deploy ASP style. This person will be the
company's Lead Technologist for its internal and external infrastructure.

They need someone senior, who has worked with Linux for 5+ years, who can do
3 things for them (in the order of most-to-least important)

1.	Work with their web hosting/co-location group to deploy the Linux
servers to be used in delivering their service. This will include strategy
work as well as implementation. 
2.	Maintain and grow their Linux development and QA production
environment. 
3.	Provide desktop support to their employees, and maintain the
corporate website. 

Their current production environment (obsolete by mid 2006) is MySQL and PHP
on Linux.  The new production environment, being built now, is high
availability Linux environment including NetApp NAS, PostgresSQL, J2EE
applications, JBoss, Nagios for monitoring, load balancing/fail over, etc.

Salary - to $100K.
