I'll be the "well, actually" guy - you mean the the Cambridge Brewing
Company in /Kendall/ Square, or the /Commonwealth/ Brewing Company in
Kenmore? (And let me say, it's awesome to see someplace that doesn't
list 10 IPAs, 5 double IPAs, 2 triple IPAs, a half dozen sours, and just
maybe one lager on the menu.)

Indeed, just when my small heart grew three sizes after seeing a porter
on the menu...

Remember: email is dead, and Reddit is for chaos and meme stocks. ;^)
I assume you're just talking about socialization and community. [Screed
about Stack Exchange /et al/ deleted.] About the only current thing I
hit is the FreeBSD Discord and forums, since I use that for all my
non-employer server needs. The pace at $DAYJOB is set by unreasonable
deadlines dictated by management, and there's little time left over for
anything else.
The BayLISA group is still managing to hold meetings out here in NorCal,
but the only mailing list (well, MeetUp) traffic I see is about meeting
logistics. I did actually get my current job after an encounter at a
BayLISA meeting...
Honestly, I've been spending more (free) time in the vintage computing
scene over the years. But what isn't on the "classiccmp" mailing list or
Vintage Computer Federation forums is happening on Discords and such,
and so invisible to search and archiving. I exhibited a VAXstation 3540
and OMRON Luna 88k at VCF West a couple years ago, and Suns with Telebit
Trailblazers and other modems this year.
Well, happy holidays - hope everybody's doing well and having fun.
