We here in SF no longer host the nation's only urban shooting-clay range.  It
closed just a couple weeks ago, after about 8 decades of operation. 
Presumably, the environmental cleanup costs of so many shot-up hard drives
discarded by Silicon Valley businesses over all those years proved too much
for city officials and the neighbors living in ever-expanding apartment
complexes on the banks of Lake Merced... not to mention the constant "bang
bang" sounds of data destruction.
