[BBLISA] best registrar for unclaimed domain name?

I want to register a domain name that I'm not finding via whois.
As far as I know, it is not owned by any domain name registrar.
I found a very long list of TLD registrars on internic.net:
http://www.internic.net/alpha.html

I have never registered a domain before, and I would like to know
what registrars people recommend.

I did not see an archive of past messages on bblisa.org. Apologies
in advance if this topic has been covered previously.
