I didn't even know there was a theoretical speed difference till Daniel said
so.  I use a lot of machines, some of them single, some dual.  I benchmark
every cpu, every disk, all the ram.  And I've never noticed a speed
difference based on arrangement of memory.  The noticeable difference seems
to be in *amount* of memory (better caching makes a big difference) and the
bus speed.
