[BBLISA] Help with Lotus Notes and Archiving

I have a client utilizing a Novell Netware network who recently
upgraded from Lotus Notes 4.6 to 5.0.8 client, connecting to a Domino
server.

They regularly archive their email (about once every six months).   
The achive was created under Notes 4.6, then the client was upgraded
to 5.0.8 and archiving seemlessly continued.    They recently received
a B-tree error when trying to access their archive file.    Research
revealed the 4.6 client can apparently only archive up to 1 gig of
email, then the database becomes unstable.

Are there any known tools to help recover/retrieve the messages from
the 4.6 archive?
