Normally a good place to look would be someplace like
http://www.bostonusergroups.com/ ; however, two groups that deal with Java
technologies are not listed there.
New England Java User Group (www.nejug.org)
WebTech (http://www.acm.org/chapters/webtech/)
There are also vendor user groups such as BEA's which meets monthly in
Burlington and I think there is also a Websphere group which meets at IBM
in Waltham. You have to register in advance for the NEJUG meetings and
capacity is sometimes limited depending on the popularity of the guest
speaker. You can look over prior presentations on their web site to see
what they're like. The emphasis is generally on evolving Java technologies.
