REQUIREMENTS<br>

B.S. in computer science or related field preferred. A minimum of
five years professional experience as a Linux systems administrator.
Clear, professional communication skills in order to work with team
members and customers of diverse technical abilities. Highly
organized and detail oriented. Able to track and juggle complex
projects with shifting priorities. <br>
<br>

DESCRIPTION<br>
<br>
To be successful in this role you will: have a strong desire to
learn new technologies; enjoy creating solutions to challenging
technical problems; be self-motivated requiring little direct
supervision; and can work both independently and as a contributing
member of a small team. <br>
<br>
You will have demonstrated experience with: Linux systems
administration (Red Hat, CentOS, and Oracle Enterprise Linux);
Scripting (Python, Perl, and Bash); Networking (configuration and
troubleshooting); and Storage (provision and monitoring).
Application development skills and experience (PHP and JAVA) is
highly desirable. Your ability to master new tools and languages is
a must. <br>

This is a new role in the Research Operations Team, to help maintain
and deliver NAS resources (8PB and growing) to the various labs of
the Institute. You will be a member of the team responsible for the
provisioning, monitoring, and reporting of storage across 4 primary
storage platforms: EMC, NetApp, Isilon, and Oracle/Sun. Prior
experience in one or more of these storage platforms is required. <br>
<br>
Ensure the availability and integrity of data through standard
management procedures. Actively participate in the evaluation of new
storage technologies. Work with various user groups to help create
and implement information lifecycle management plans and space
forecasting. Serve as a core member of the Research Computing team
with responsibility for various platforms, hardware, infrastructure
and security affecting the scientific research community of the
Broad.<br>
