<p><b>Location:</b> Boston (Newton), MA</p><p><b>Job Type:</b> Full Time</p><p><b>Job Description:</b> </p><p>Responsible for implementing new technologies, the day to day management of the environment and to help us implement our vision.<br>
</p><p><b>Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p><p> Assist with setup and day to day management of several VMWare ESX environments.<br> Monitor environment for issues and resolve them.<br> Setup VM Images containing builds of Ubuntu, Redhat and Windows.<br>
Be part of an on-call rotation schedule providing after hours support of the environment.<br> Assist with day to day management of a Production web application environment based on Linux and open source technologies.<br>
Provide IT support to Corporate environment consisting of Windows and Macintosh platforms.<br> Use best practices to setup and maintain a secure computing environment.<br> Healthcare IT experience is a plus.<br></p><p>
<b>Required Skills and Abilities:</b></p><p> Proven experience with Linux system administration. <br> 5+ years of experience with supporting Linux in a production web environment.<br> Experience administering linux based database servers.<br>
Be a technical "Jack of all trades."<br> Has to be reliable and will follow through on tasks.<br> Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills.<br> Experience with setup and support of HP and Dell server hardware.<br>
Experience with setup and administration of VMWare ESX environments.<br> Experience with supporting Windows and OSX desktop environments.<br> Have a valid drivers license and the ability to drive to other locations in Massachusetts.<br>
BA/BS or equivalent experience.<br> Ability to lift 50+ pounds and be able to install computer equipment in a rack.<br> Experience working in a startup / fast paced environment.<br></p><p><b>Please note:</b></p><p> This is a regular, full-time, in-house position. Contractors will not be considered at this time.<br>
