We are seeking a Sr. IT  Infrastructure Engineer to design, maintain and support and scale our global IT infrastructure.  The position reports to the Sr. Manager of IT Infrastructure & Information security and is part of a team of infrastructure engineers consisting of excellent technical skills in several domain competencies.  Applicants must have exceptional interpersonal skills and be able to work under pressure.

Essential Functions/ Job Duties:


  *   Responsible for the overall design, acquisition, testing, implementation and maintenance of the iRobot computing ecosystem.
  *   Ensure high availability of enterprise voice, video and data platforms that support internal employee business functions, product enablement in addition to external customers.
  *   Infrastructure technology generalist with subject matter expert (SME) of several technologies within an infrastructure environment consisting of: operating systems, storage, virtualization, networks, heterogeneous computing devices and information security.
  *   Proficiency as systems administrator for dedicated technologies and escalated support.

Qualifications:


  *   7-10+ years experience in related field
  *   At least 3-5 years experience with data center virtualization technologies (VMware & Citrix a plus)
  *   In depth knowledge of a SAN infrastructure (EMC a plus).
  *   In depth knowledge of communication platforms (Exchange, Lync, Skype, Jabber a plus)
  *   In depth knowledge of Windows Server and Linux Operating systems.
  *   Knowledge of load balancing.
  *   Knowledge and experience with relational databases (MSSQL, MYSQL a plus).
  *   Proficiency with administration automation through scripting (shell, python, PowerShell).
  *   Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex problems.
  *   The ability to analyze, dissect and re-engineer existing solutions with a focus on elevating efficiency and increasing performance.
  *   Strong experience with Ethernet, Wi-Fi and TCP/IP. (Cisco and Palo Alto experience a plus).
  *   Willingness to do whatever it takes to support mission critical 24x7 platforms.
  *   Excellent time management skills are a must.  The candidate must be able to complete projects on tight deadlines while handling numerous unplanned interruptions.
  *   Proven ability to lead technology and mentor others at a high level.
