Senior Linux and Network System Administrator (Part-time or Full-time)

Founded in 2002, MaxMind (www.maxmind.com) is an industry-leader in 
providing IP geolocation and credit card fraud detection services, and 
we're growing fast. We're looking for an excellent System Administrator 
to join our team and work independently on a variety of tasks.

The System Administrator will administer Linux systems in a high-load 
environment, running high-volume applications written in Perl and MySQL. 
  She or he will be responsible for tasks as securing servers and 
networks, database and server performance tuning, and setup and 
maintenance of servers and networks.

Location: Downtown Waltham. The office is only a five minute walk from 
the commuter rail and several express bus lines.  Telecommuting options 
are available.

Requirements:
* At least five years administering Linux systems
* Experience with programming in Perl or similar scripting language
* Experience with network and server security

Desirable:
* Experience with database replication technologies
* Experience with database optimization
* Contributions made to open source projects

Compensation and benefits will be highly competitive and based on 
previous work experience.
