System Administrator

Based in Lexington, Massachusetts, Mall Networks is the leading provider of
online malls and loyalty shopping solutions that increase revenue
strengthen customer loyalty and improve member engagement.

A System Administrator at Mall Networks is a SAGE level III sysadmin,
working to support a large high-availability collection of sites consisting
of 50-100 machines and scores of partners. Day-to-day duties cover all
aspects of web, database, and application server life-cycles; installing
new software and operating systems, support of existing servers and
platforms, effecting bug and security patching, performance monitoring and
tuning, break/fix troubleshooting and retirement or upgrade of older
hardware and platforms.  Frequent interaction with co-workers across the
company is the norm, as is participation in long-term projects with vendors
and partners.

Minimum Requirements:
 - 3 years of production-level LAMP System Administration experience
   with significant time installing, maintaining and troubleshooting high-SLA
   servers and services.
 - Considerable comfort with scripting and debugging in languages such
   as sh, bash, perl, php and ruby

Preferred Qualifications:
 - Experience with apache, postfix/sendmail, DNS, puppet, monitoring
   tools, and ticket tracking systems
 - Comfort with SQL in some sort of relational database (MySQL preferred)
 - A firm grasp of basic networking concepts including routing, subnets and
   firewalls 
 - Understanding of basic backup system concepts
 - Must be available to work the occasional weekend and handle 24/7
   pager-based oncall responsibilities
 - Must be focused, energetic and reliable
 - Have ability to communicate clearly, work in a team environment,
   and effectively work with diverse groups
 - Additional relevant training courses (from colleges, universities,
   conferences or corporate) are a plus
