Are you a Senior Systems Administrator (SAGE Level IV) looking to step
into a lead role designing and implementing a solid, secure and scalable
service infrastructure? We are recruiting a senior technical leader to our
Enterprise Operations team. This is a very hands-on role requiring a
strong
technical lead who is experienced in the design and deployment of
effective
Service Infrastructures. This person will represent the Enterprise
Operations team in the planning and design of next generation service
infrastructures. This person will be responsible for the design decisions
effecting the overall service architecture, including Server Hardware,
Storage hardware, Management and Automation tooling, Data Center
deployment
and Security as well as the management processes used by the team. This
person will assume a leadership role in cross organizational service
design
and planning processes. 

Requirements
• 8-10 years professional experience in Information Technology, preferably
in an Internet facing production service environment.
• Solid integration engineering background designing distributed system
and storage infrastructure. Experience designing Virtualized environments
and experience with Network Engineering is a plus.
• Demonstrated expertise troubleshooting and solving complicated
distributed system and storage issues
• Ability to manage change and mitigate risk in a highly dynamic 24/7
distributed n-tier environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams in collaborate projects
• Solid and demonstrated ability to design, implement and maintain
scalable distributed operating systems, RHEL and/or Solaris
• Experience with storage platforms, NetApp preferred
• Experience automating configuration management systems (cfengine,
puppet)
• Hands-on experience with web server technologies, Apache preferred
• Experience with backup and recovery systems, Legato preferred
• Experience with Java application servers, JBoss preferred
• Working knowledge of LDAP and SQL/RDBMS concepts
• Strong working knowledge of virtualization platforms, VMware preferred
• Strong abilities to develop and deploy automated systems to monitor and
manage environments. Scripting skills (Perl), Experience with RT, Nagios,
Cacti or Groundwork.

• Ability to work with and provide technical leadership enterprise wide.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• A pragmatic outlook and good sense of humor a plus
