Senior IT Engineer

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Technology organization.
You would be part of the team building the next generation of our high
performance, high volume infrastructure to operate our mobile media
platform. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Linux and
Windows administration and experience in supporting software development,
QA, and office environments.
Major Responsibilities:

. Optimize ongoing monitoring, instrumentation, and maintenance of
Production, Engineering, and internal infrastructures as we begin global
distribution.
. Manage Linux infrastructure services supporting Engineering and QA.
. Install, support, and maintain Windows desktop environments and intranet
applications.
. Automate Linux and Windows management and configuration processes.
. Implement efficient provisioning of new servers and PCs.
. Focus on continuous improvement of operations via planning, automation,
and visibility.
. Provide occasional off-shift availability for production issues or
maintenance.

Requirements:
. B.S. Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
. 5+ years of hands-on management of Linux systems, preferably Redhat.
. Configuration and deployment experience with Apache, MySQL, and JBoss is
highly preferred.
. Experience administering and supporting Windows desktop environment
including provisioning, patching, configuration, and updating.
. Provision automation with Ghost, Acronis, or similar tool is a plus.
. Knowledge of IT security concepts and procedures.
. Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and both technical and
non-technical employees.
. Strong problem solving, testing, and network troubleshooting skills.
. Meticulous attention to detail and an appreciation for how reliability
drives company success.
. Experience working in a startup / fast paced environment.


. Location:  Waltham MA Headquarters; little or no travel anticipated.
. This is a regular, full-time, in-house position. Contractors will not be
considered.
