***Rate: $50 and $70 hour on a w2 basis *

* Responsibilities*

·          Build, scale, troubleshoot maintain service platform.

·          Manage all levels of service platform

·          Work with development team to enhance web service for optimal
performance

·          Write tools for scalability and automation of production
environment, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.

·          Monitor the health of production systems

·          Be part of a 24x7 on-call pager rotation.*   *

* Qualifications   *

·          Linux/Unix expert, Expert troubleshooter

·          Expert sysadmin., Experience scripting for systems automation
tasks

·          Use of open-source tools to manage installations

·          Setting up, operating and scaling a large number of servers

·          Configuration management, Monitoring/Alerting, Application
deployment, Server deployment, Systems Automation.

·          Work at all levels of the service platform (data
center/network/servers/application)

·          supporting and enhancing SOA / SaaS web application architectures


·          cfengine, nagios, cacti, kickstart/netboot, func.

·          CentOS, Java, Tomcat, Oracle, MySQL.

·          networking (BGP/OSPF).

·          PHP, Perl, Python

·          the Scrum framework

·          Large scale distributed storage systems.

·          Multi-site and/or multi-national infrastructure deployments
