SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Be responsible for design, configuration, and support of Microsoft Active Directory servers.   This individual will own the project from inception as the company moves from outsourced solutions to a state of the art in-house IT network infrastructure.  SAN (Compellant to be implemented)  Bring existing staff up to speed as new technology is implemented (Exchange rollout in 09). Candidates must have excellent technical and communications skills which will be utilized while interacting with cross functional and team members. This position is responsible for leading system administration services including: design, installation, configuration, maintenance and support for hardware, operating systems and applications; security policy implementation; participation in completing customer change requests and escalated problem ticket resolution. 

Duties include:

  a.. Recommend and implement steps towards enhancing the existing infrastructure by working in a structured and systematic fashion gathering requirements, designing the implementation and then implementing the upgrades/changes. 
  b.. Identify and plan the implementation and conversion to new technologies relating to servers and networks. 
  c.. Manage/troubleshoot servers in remote locations as well as local. 
  d.. Configure, maintain and troubleshoot server-class hardware. 
  e.. Ascertain stability of server and network operations using sound troubleshooting and diagnostic skills as well as personal experience and restore to proper functioning levels as needed. 
  f.. Install (as needed), administer and maintain SANs on a daily basis 
  g.. Document technology standards to align the Bank with industry based Best Practices. 
  h.. Undertake and ensure network security at the enterprise level. 
    a.. Experience in an Oracle database & application environment. 
    b.. Additional consideration will be given to candidates experience in the following areas: 
      a.. MCSE Certification 
      b.. Microsoft Exchange migrations
      c.. Active Directory design concepts
