Title:  Systems Administrator (Unix) with strong Legato/EDM and Tape
Backup experience

 

My client is looking for a Systems Administrator (Unix) with strong
Legato/EDM and Tape Backup experience.  This is a 5 month project.

 

 The eligible candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day
administration of a 500 server, 25+ Tb, backup environment. Tasks
include, de-bugging backup failures, adding new servers to the
environment, and performing restores.



*Knowledge of EDM 5.x and/or Legato NetWorker 7.x 
*Working knowledge of Windows NT, 2000, and XP.



*Eligible candidate must be proficient in:
UNIX systems administration (Solaris preferred).
Shell scripting.
Command line interface.
Managing, and configuring, fibre/SCSI bridges.
Reading, and interpreting, log files.
*SAN knowledge preferred but, not required.
*Working knowledge of ATL, ADIC, STK, etc tape library units, and DLT
and LTO tape drive operations.
